Patayin Sa Sindak Si Barbara was an ABS-CBN primetime mini-series adapted from the movie, Patayin Mo Sa Sindak Si Barbara, originally starring Susan Roces in 1974 and later by Lorna Tolentino in 1995. It was supposed to be aired weekly in a mini-series format on January 12, 2008, but it was later placed in ABS-CBN's primetime Bida.This is the first installment of Sineserye Presents: The Susan Roces Cinema Collection.

Barbara is a young girl who makes the painful discovery that she is just like everyone else. Her one dominant desire is to “be somebody”, but she really doesn’t know how this can be done. She tries to be “a leader”, but becomes dissatisfied with that and then tries to separate herself from the crowd – but soon "the crowd" attempts to be more like her. Sage advice from her uncle – that she is already “somebody” – satisfies Barbara to be herself.

The female employees of the poultry-processing factory find relief from their monotonous work in chatting about weddings and marriages. The very young Zdena (Marta Vancurová), too, dreams about a white veil and an entourage of bridesmaids. On her return home from work, she runs into a peculiar man on an abandoned road who pertinaciously offers to read her palm for a few crowns to buy soup. His augury is rather usual - wealth and poverty, suffering and happiness. Then however, he declares that Zdena must marry exactly on 3 November of that year otherwise she will be unhappy.

A small television comedy about a revolutionary invention called a "transmutator" that allows a person to transform into an animal. An impractical scientist, played by Viktor Preiss, actually succeeds. Not only the lovesick secretary Jitka Molavcová is unhappy about this, but also the company director Petr Nárožný. How will the comical transformation situations turn out?

Influenced by her bestie Bella, Aurel (22) becomes a sugar baby to grieving Derry (46). Okan (22) loves Aurel, while Derry develops paternal feelings for her and a real connection with Pinkan (44). The situation explodes with irony: Derry is Okan’s father; Aurel is the daughter of Pinkan and Alvin (45)—Bella’s sugar daddy and Derry’s employee. Shockingly, Bella was instrumental in breaking up Aurel's family. It's a messy web of love, secrets, and unintended consequences.

Andreas a young solitary taxi driver, part of a modern chaotic mega city,lives his own life through the stories who get in and out of his cab. Maria, one of the kind, leads him to a dangerous game where the boundaries between lies and truth and between hatred and passion, can barely be sensed.
